Analyze this.....
The indian news channels make tall claims about taking up issues and highlighting them.
But how far it lives up to it is debatable.Rather what we see on news channels is the influx of also rans hogging the limelight.Ranging from discussing the quality of hindi used in ash-abhishek wedding card to scrutinising the geopolitical influence of rahul gandhi's remarks, we have it all.
Nothing irks you more than seeing someone like akash chopra giving his pearls of wisdom on hitting sixes. Every news channel have their in house experts who come to the studios and inflict misery with their horror talk.All this in the name of analysis.....

The question to be asked is...for how long? I mean audiences are mature enough to vet out good content from mediocore. Take you and me for eg. How long do we stay glued to Kris & his likes on those DD, IBN, AajTak kind of programmes?
But on the flip side, the programmes in which these people appear are for the 'aam' aadmi (read: Duh!) and rare 'intellectual' species like you and me don't have much say in what's happening around :)
